The Favourite without a shadow of a doubt will win many awards this season, and quite rightly so. Director Yorgos Lanthimos, for me, is a maverick film-maker, pushing all kinds of emotional and narrative boundaries. His films are beautiful to look at, can make you feel physically uncomfortable, laugh at something you never thought funny before; he’s definitely one of my favourites, pardon the pun and I’m so glad to have him back on Soundtracking.
