I was first introduced to the work of Dome, whilst covering on Kermode and Mayo and we talked about one of his earlier films, Tom Of Finland. One of the things that stood out for me from that film was the music and score, and looking more into Dome’s work, his choice of composers in his films has been inspired. That can definitely be said about his latest film, Tolkien, which he worked beautifully with Thomas Newman on what I think is, quite an extraordinary score.
